“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens…When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” Psalms 8:1, 3-4 ESV
Observation
The Lord’s name is known in all the earth and His glory is above the heavens. When we look at all of God’s creation we are amazed that He would even consider and care for us.
Application
The power and presence of God is displayed in the majesty of His creation. Creation displays a God who is different from us yet considers and cares for us. Every morning when we glance in the mirror to prepare for the day, may we never forget that the Lord knows and cares for us. Our great creator is very much aware of us and has chosen to engage us through His son, Jesus Christ. This is beyond our comprehension yet He has clearly demonstrated His love for us.
Prayer
Lord I want to praise you for considering me and being involved within my life. May I lives today as one who has been changed by you, my Lord and Creator.
